HAVEN
THE PROJECT
Haven is an artistic collaboration featuring a dynamic four-piece lighting installation which is animated live by the lush melodies of strings. The project by Chris Mangos encapsulates the mood and tone of Luminescence’s performance through interactive lighting, creating a harmony of sight and sound. This unique musical experience takes you on a journey, exploring art and music as a form of escapism. Haven has been staged at GOMA, Yonder Festival, Brisbane Street Art Festival and Anywhere Festival.
THE people
Chris Mangos is a Brisbane based designer who currently explores escapism and colour through multiple mediums such as illustration, graphic design and lighting installations. His recent focus is to create stylised representations of human behaviour and resulting condition.

the project
Luminescence first teamed up with The Jensens to write and record strings for their forth studio album, Hammer & Blush, released 21 May 2021. Luminescence is featured on the tracks, Unobtanium, River of Gold, Ziba, Disappear From the World Forever and The Elegant Ones.
After laying down some lush strings in the studio, the groups decided to step out onto the stage as well – Joining forces, along with saxophonist Joel Aspinall, to deliver an epic performance for Yonder festival 2019. You can listen to the full live set, captured by 4ZZZ’s Live Delay, below.
THE people
In 2019 The Jensens released their first full length album Hyacinth Haze, a departure from their early work and a cathartic reflection on human nature. Seamlessly blending elements of prog, funk, psych and rock to create something entirely their own, The Jensens are taking their album to audiences across Australia.
Having shared stages with the likes of The Vaccines, Last Dinosaurs, The Belligerents and The Delta Riggs, and featuring on festival bills such as Valley Fiesta, Splendour In The Grass, Grampians, Jungle Love and Yonder Festival, their live performance is a spectacle to behold, as entertaining as it is provocative.
UTOPIA
THE PROJECT
This project saw the marriage of lush string melodies with an eye-catching projection work formed by digital collage from ReVerse Butcher.
The artworks are projected onto Luminescence wearing white flowing outfits, creating a spectacular synthesis of colour, prose and music.
THE people
ReVerse Butcher is a Melbourne-based VR/AR/XR artist & poet. She used any medium necessary to engage & subvert reality until it is less dull & oppressive.
strictly disco
the project
Strictly Disco was produced for Yonder Festival 2022 as the newest and grooviest supergroup with one mission: to get the people of Yonder dancing the night away. As the name suggests, Strictly Disco came together to exclusively pump out the classic disco tunes – with a full band, live string section and guest vocalists from Yonder’s favourite acts to keep everyone groovin.
THE people
For this epic collaboration performance Luminescence teamed up with members of some all time Yonder favourites, Pocketlove, Bcharre, Kalopsia and Accomplice Collective.
